Mareeba grower meeting and research project tour
AMIA, in collaboration with Mareeba QDAF are hosting an afternoon bus tour followed by a mango grower meeting at Mutchilba Community Centre Hall, with BBQ dinner on Thursday 17th September.
All mango growers are invited to attend. If you can’t make the bus tour, please still come along to the grower meeting at Mutchilba.
- The Bus tour commences at 12.15pm in Mareeba or 2pm in Mutchilba
- The grower meeting commences at 4.15pm at Mutchilba Community Centre
- Join us for a BBQ from 6pm
Bus Tour Itinerary
12.15pm: Meet at Meet at Rotary Park, Mareeba.
12.30pm: Bus departs
12.40: Matt & Jess Fealy’s orchard, Springs Rd.
2pm: Pick up from Mutchilba Community Centre
2.05pm: Adrian & Alfina Zugno's orchard, Mutchilba
3pm: Raimond Bin’s orchard, Mutchilba
4pm: Return to Mutchilba Community Centre, Musumeci St, Mutchilba

Efficient farming project - irrigation and nutrients (Trevor Parker, Northern Gulf RMG)
Building soil health and better nitrogen management (Geoff Dickinson, QDAF).
Integrated pest management for fruit fly and spotting bugs (Pat O'Farrell, QDAF)
Understanding tree architecture to maximise productivity (Paula Ibell, QDAF).
